A few weeks ago, my cousin moved into a new apartment. Bright walls, cute curtains, and a fridge stocked with Coke but no water purifier. 

When I pointed it out, she said, “I’ll just boil water”. And it was not more than three days and she was googling “Why does my stomach hate me?” at 2 a.m. on the bathroom floor.
