FAQ's
Which EZ Jug filter system will fit my faucet?
Our systems fit most standard faucets. Pull-out and handheld faucets are not compatible with our systems.
How do I install my unit?
Refer to your owner’s manual for instructions, follow these basic steps, or watch the video below:
- Remove the original aerator and washer. If the aerator is difficult to remove, use a rubber jar opener or pliers with a thin towel in-between.
- Determine is your faucet threading is external or internal.
- Attach the adapter that fits.
- Attach hose to adapter.
- Attach filter cap to your jug for filling.
Your new Jug Filling system comes with 4 adapters.
If none of the adapters fit your faucet, we recommend contacting the manufacturer of the faucet to determine the size of the adapter needed. Once the size of the adapter is known, you can contact us at info@zetatherapy.com for assistance to purchase an appropriate adapter.
Is the EZ Jug Filtration System recycleable?
Unfortunately, the carbon filter is not recyclable. We are in the process of building a recycling program for our customers. Please check this page in the future for updates.
How do I clean my faucet system?
Wipe the outside of the E Jug Filtration System with a clean, damp, soft cloth. While a mild dishwashing liquid may also be used, do NOT allow any detergent to enter the hose, filter, fittings or adapter.
To Clean the Jug Cap, unscrew the spout by turning counterclockwise. Soak the cap and spout in a solution of warm water and a mild detergent or a diluted vinegar solution before scrubbing with a brush. Rinse and allow to thoroughly dry.
How do I clean my water Jug.
Here are some ways to clean a 3-gallon or 5-gallon water jug:
- Bleach
Fill the jug with tap water and add 1/2 teaspoon of bleach per 5 gallons of water. Let it sit for at least one minute, then wash the lid and spray the inside of the jug. Wipe it down with a clean, dry towel. If the water is cloudy, double the amount of bleach. Rinse well, and re-rinse. Allow to thoroughly dry. - Vinegar
Fill the jug halfway with warm water and equal parts white vinegar. Let it sit for about 15 minutes, Rinse well, and re-rinse. Allow to thoroughly dry.
How do I know when it is time to replace my faucet filter?
To ensure maximum efficiency, replace your system:
- Every 300 gallons for the advanced system or 1000 gallon for the basic system, or
- 6 months following the first use, or
- If you notice a change in taste or odor to your filtered water, or
- If you notice a reduction in water flow from the filter into the jug
How do I install or replace a filter?
We recommend that you replace the entire filter kit to ensure the best performance. By replacing the entire system, you can reduce leakage, tears in the tubing and other issues that may lead to minor inconveniences.
Can I run hot water through the filter?
Use cold water only. Do not use with water above 82°F/28°C as this may damage the filter. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe, or of unknown quality, without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Individuals requiring water of a certain microbiological purity should consult their physician.
